Glynn County Clerk of Court Darren Jones must enter the courthouse by the front door and pass through the metal detectors during an investigation into possible threats made by the clerk, Sheriff Neal Jump said.
Jump said he advised Jones early Thursday morning that he could no longer pass through an entrance for officials at the rear of the courthouse.
“I spoke to him about 6:45 outside the courthouse. I told him what the requirements were going to be,” the sheriff said. “He would have to come through the front door and the metal detectors like John Q Public.”
