Kings Bay petty officer arrested on child exploitation charges after cameras found in his bathroom in base housing

A Kings Bay sailor faces two charges each of illegal eavesdropping and exploitation of children after cameras were found in the bathroom of his base housing, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office said.

Navy Criminal Investigative Services conducted an investigation in which cameras were found concealed in a bathroom and other electronic equipment was recovered, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The equipment had been used to record two girls as they bathed and used the toilet facilities in the bathroom, the Sheriff’s Office said.

On Sept. 19, Navy and Camden County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested Robert Don Torres on two counts each
