Media flock to cover tot’s hot-car death in Brunswick; jury selection expected to take 2 weeks

BRUNSWICK | When Glynn County tore down its old jail earlier this year, the county commissioners decided to convert the land to a park.

For the next two weeks and probably all of October, the vacant lot is serving as outdoor studios for about every TV station in Atlanta. The trucks with ABC, CBS and Fox logos — the NBC affiliate came in an unmarked van — are in town to cover the trial of Justin Ross Harris, 35, who is accused of murder in the June 2014 death of his 22-month-old son, Cooper.
