ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA. | A single-engine plane skidded off the end of the runway at the island’s airport Monday morning and into a drainage ditch just short of a road.
The Cirrus SR20 sat with its propeller against the bank of the ditch and its tail in the air with some fuel leaking into the water. No information was available on possible injuries, but the plane was lightly damaged.
